Gods Plow Man

I remember my father’s tiny little tractor gently rolling along as my father drove it down his field plowing away. My father would go over and over his land till he felt that it was ready for planting. I remember how beautiful his gardens were. With calabacitas, sweat peas, maĆz and all that good stuff. But it did not just come along by itself. Those wonderful vegetables did not just appear. For most of the spring and summer my father labored endlessly, day after day, with a vision for a harvest. In 1 Cor. 9:10, Paul writes, “he that plows should plow in hope; and that he that threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.” If we are truly servants of the Lord, we are by all biblical definitions Gods Plowmen. Just as Jesus was “about the Father business” we also must be about the father business. We must plow in hope of a harvest which will impact not only those who hear us, but also generations to come. Planting Jesus in the hearts of those who will listen must become our daily profession. The Prophet Hosea said it this way, “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” (Hosea 10:12) Breaking up the fallow ground, is the preparation involved in impacting souls. Be it our own or those influenced by us in one way or another. Paul taught us this process, in that “one plants, one waters and God gives the increase.” (1 Cor. 3:6) The righteousness of God will come down if we press on. If we labor faithfully we will reap of our labors.

You GO

The Great Commission that the Lord Jesus Christ gave His disciples was to, “Go …. and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matt 28:18-20) Jesus was by all rights a revolutionary. His ministry thrived, where He literary preached His gospel to thousands. The multitudes were impacted by His word of power. And today His life changing eternal message of Hope is spread throughout the world. There is no message like the message of Jesus. For no one else can save the sinner from His sins. It is a great message which pulls the sinner out of a pit destined to Hell and makes Him whole destined to Life everlasting. But with each passing generation the multitudes are to be found in different localities. Weather it be a different community, a different tribe, a different culture, another soul who does not know Jesus, on the radio or television and with today’s generation online. The message to go is “to whosoever believes” (John 3:16) in Jesus. Jesus said “go ye” or “go you” and in today’s modern English “YOU GO.” As the Lords disciples we must take this message to this lost world. We must take this message and show people that Jesus is the only answer.
The Prophet Habakkuk wrote, “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.” (Habakkuk 2:2) Thus, I feel I must write the vision God has given me as a Pastor and Evangelist in this great state. I truly believe God has a plan for New Mexico. Keep in mind my definition of New Mexico, is what many would call greater Mexico. This would include parts of Mexico and the states of Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, and Texas. As never before brethren, I see New Mexico as a mission field ready, ripe and waiting for the Gospel message which can save, deliver and heal this lost and dying generation. Many, many communities in the state of New Mexico do not have a Pentecostal church. Many, many more do not even have a full gospel message of any kind in their community. This troubles my soul because everybody should have the opportunity to receive the greatest news to grace the ears of mankind.
The passion to go where no man has gone before and to take the precious gospel light to those lost in sin must be our desire. God has positioned us in an immense mission field of multiple layers of culture, which includes many Native American tribes and many distinct dialects of Spanish, both of which are indigenous to the region. Let us continue to believe Jesus for the lost. I still believe that before the day of the Lord, we will see youth and children by the multitudes on fire for Jesus, called into ministry and transformed by the mighty hand of an all powerful God. Let us never cease to believe that we are Gods chosen generation to reach the unreached for Jesus. Let us never cease to preach to those in need of a God who has all the answers.
It is time Brethren to rise as the called of the Lord and His chosen generation. My vision for New Mexico is to see us go on with Holy Ghost Zeal, Fire, Renewal and hunger for the true and living God. We must burn with Holy Ghost anointing and passion for Spiritual renewal and the birthing of souls for Jesus. Our desire must be Gods desire to reach all those who still do not know Him as the one and only Savior.
